WRITING FOR SOCIAL CHANGE
Over the course of the semester students completed 20 hours of service with a community partner, planning, drafting, and producing texts intended toward producing social change as advocated by their partner.
Students paired with Girls Lobby to conduct information, recruitment, and registration materials for the 2021 program year
Students partnered with UVU’s Women’s Success Center to act as volunteer blog post writers.
Students partnered with Encircle, an LGBTQ+ resource centre to help with community outreach.
Students paired with the Utah Humanities Book Festival to conduct an interview with a local author on a social justice thriller.
Students partnered with ACLU of Utah to promote and conduct info sessions of voter mis/disinformation and registration
